Garden Labels From Old Mini Blinds

Don’t buy plant labels for your garden this year. Make your own from the things that you probably already have sitting around your house. We used the 2” wide faux wood blinds for this project.

Begin by cutting the blinds into the desired length. Make a small cut and snap blinds in half with your fingers. Then make a pointed end with a scissors. Use any leftover paint you may have around the house. When the paint is dry use a permanent maker to write the type of plant you will be marking. If you like, use the back of the marker to write the variety. Spray the marker with clear enamel. These markers will last for several seasons in the garden. And costs virtually nothing!
